Frequently asked questions
Is the mobile app separate from the web dashboard?▾
No. Same account and organisation data. Web is best for inventory dashboard, timesheet approval, and pay runs. Mobile is best for clock-in, shifts, stock logging, and quick manager actions.
Do staff and managers use the same app?▾
Yes — one SyncDex app on iOS and Android. After sign-in, staff see staff tabs; managers and owners see manager tabs based on role.
How do staff sign in?▾
Email and password. Optional biometric unlock reopens the app without retyping your password — it does not replace server authentication.
Can staff clock in without being rostered?▾
No. Clock-in is tied to published shifts for that day in your shop timezone, with a geofence check at clock-in time.
Can managers do payroll on mobile?▾
Staff can view published payslips. Pay run setup, timesheet approval, and accountant CSV exports are on the web dashboard.
Does inventory work offline on mobile?▾
Stock updates require a connection today. Movements sync when logged so managers see current counts on web.
Can I manage multiple shops from mobile?▾
Yes. Switch active shop from the account sheet. Staff, roster, attendance, and inventory stay scoped per location.
